Optical Illusion: Rotating Lady

Which way does this lady spin for you? If she is rotating clockwise, then you are using more of the right side of your brain. If she is rotating counter-clockwise, then you are using more of the left side of your brain. Now try this for kicks. Try blinking slowly or looking away, and see if you can get the lady to start spinning the opposite way! Pretty neat, isn’t it? Read the full story at the Herald Sun.

This is bullshit. Not the illusion, but the interpretation you make. It has nothing to do with the brain “side” you use and everything to do with the perception of your own body.
Think about it: if you tend to have a better balance standing on your left foot, you’ll see at first the lady rotating on her left foot — clockwise. If you have a better balance on your right foot, you’ll see her rotating on her right foot — counter-clockwise.
If you think this way, you can have her switch direction instantly — by thinking “on what foot is she standing?”
