Blackwater: National Terror or National Treasure?

Jeremy Scahill clearly protests President Bush and the war on terrorism. To say the least he is dead wrong.

* Erik Prince has funded Christian missionaries in many countries including Iraq. For this Jeremy Scahill calls him a Christian supremest. It may not be a bad idea to try and change the Iraqi’s religion, seeing this war has been caused by their Muslim religion.

* The soldiers shown in the video are if fact not Blackwater soldiers at all.

* Blackwater has lost close to 800 troops in Iraq and surrounding countries. This may seem like a lot but when you consider the U.S. has lost more than 10,000, their death rate is much lower. This is mostly because Blackwater troops have better equipment and are much more highly trained.

The simple fact is Blackwater and other private military contractors are amazingly effective and much cheaper than U.S. troops. The widely publicized concern of mercenaries killing civilians in Iraq is nothing more than a ploy by the media to scare U.S. citizens into thinking they are bad. The fact is private military contractors kill no more, and in most cases, less civilians than the U.S. soldiers. Yes, Blackwater soldiers have fewer rules but this is also why they are so effective. It is simply put “Warfare without Politics”.

  1. Somebody is drinkin’ their bathwater…..Does somebody claim Blackwater has lost 800???

  2. No one knows for sure but many articles claim anywhere from 600 to 1000.

  3. Problem james: the military has the goal of ending conflict. for mercenaries the longer the war lasts the higher the profit.

Blackwater is only ‘more effective’ because they don’t care about civilian casualties and collateral damage caused.
