While this idea seems good in theory, it most likely will be to flimsy to open a normal lock. A simple fix to this problem is, use a lock pick tension wrench (A small flat piece of metal with a 90 degree bend on one end) to help turn the lock. So that the only function of the aluminum is to trigger the pins inside the lock.
Also with the use of tin snips, other harder metals can also be used. Thus, eliminating the need for any other tools.
