Where ARE the Wild Things? In IMAX!
Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX Corporation have announced that Where the Wild Things Are, directed by Spike Jonze, will be released on October 16, 2009 to both traditional and IMAX theaters. The movie is based on Maurice Sendak’s classic book of the same name. The story follows a naughty little boy named Max who is sent to bed without dinner. He imagines a fantasy world set in a forest full of wild monsters who decide to crown Max as their leader. Just as the book does, the movie will bring Max’s fantasy world to life for a great adventure. “We’re excited to provide audiences and fans of such a beloved adventure the chance to experience it in IMAX,” said Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution at Warner Bros.
